Dall IPSC Open 8

One of the last matches of this year. It was a really nice day, the weather was perfect, sunny and a little windy. We had a lot of fun on the squad and it was nice to see a couple of old friends.

Today wasn’t really a match day for me, I went in with a ‘training attitude’ and tried a couple of new things. I tried to do more shoot on the move and took some risk I wouldn’t have done before. Overall I did not do as well as I might could, to many C hits (shooting to fast!!), some slow starts and a couple of brain freezes during the match, but on the other hand I can see some good improvements in my shooting… so it wasn’t all bad 😉

The match from my point of view.

Dall IPSC Challenge

Dall IPSC Challenge is over, my last level III this season.
I shot very average most of the time, not my best but neither my worst, but also made some terrible beginner mistakes, like I forgot to take out one round of my magasin before a table start – I have to squeeeeze the magasin in when it is completely full with 21 rounds and for reload and table start I usually start with 20 rounds – result… the magasin fell out, I forgot to follow through and had some mikes on easy targets and sooooooo on!
Some of the bad performance had for sure to do with the weather, rain all day is a really big turn off and I found it difficult to stay motivated when wet and cold, but I still managed to place 9th overall in Standard, so I am very pleased.

Nordic Championship 2014

YES  I did it!!

bg 20140810_184029 NO results-lady-production I won the Nordic Championship in production lady – I am so happy that all my hard work paid off. This was one of the best matches this year, some really cool stage designs, the timing on each stage was perfect and we seldom had to wait for briefing. There was a great variation in the stages, from simple ‘shoot them as you see them’, long shots at 35 meters to weak hand shooting downhill (over 50 shooters zeroed this stage!!) …. This match for sure tested everyone’s shooting skills. 20140809_150806 The danish production shooters did great overall, they took second in the team competition and the best ended up placing 8th, 9th and 10th place.

Rooster Mountain 2014

RM_2014_4farvet_400px_q60Rooster Mountain 2014 was a really great match, good stages, a fantastic squad and it was especially good to meet up with my teammates from Capsicum Nordic again. My boyfriend Andreas shot well (he came in second after Eduard de Cobos  ) while I had a hard time, not being able to focus, especially the more complex stages gave me some problems and I made a lot of stupid mikes on really easy targets, on the bright sight, I hit every moving target and steel spot on!

Overall I just have to admit that I’ve had too much to do lately with a new job, working 50-60 hours a week, training plus other commitments, so I need to gear down to do better next week at the Nordic Championship in Production in Sweden, which I am really looking forward to.

Güstrow Open 2014

Yet another great match in Germany. We were a total of 11 danes competing and did really great overall.
(See results at DSF.DK)

This was my second time this year visiting Güstrow, and as usual it was a great match.

On the first day of the match I shot with my head between my legs, I could not find my focus, I was tired after to much work, but after a good night of sleep, I was  shooting up to my best ability on Sunday.

It is a little difficult to say, that I am not pleased with my own performance, since I made 6th overall a best lady in Standard, but my first day of shooting was really bad. I wish I could have been more in the game and enjoyed my Saturday as much as I enjoyed Sunday, however, I am happy with my victory and that I managed to pull myself together on Sunday.

German Nationals in Standard and Production

What a great weekend!

The last month, since my last level III match, I have trained hard for the German Nationals with my better half Danko coaching me to perform even better. My hope was to have a better match than at the INFINITY, were my SVI gun-handling-skills still lacked a bit. My primary goal was to do well in Standard, and I am proud to say I lived up to my own expectations and took First place in Standard Lady… I AM SO HAPPY .
As a bonus, I got a second place in Productioon, which was not expected since I did not shoot up to my best.

Congrats to all the others shooters taking part of this great competition especially Christine for winning the Production division
And a big thanks to my sponsor Capsicum Nordic webshop for supporting me.

Göteborg Open 2014

After some time shooting standard, it was time to dust off my stock II and compete against 12 swedish lady production shooters at the Swedish National Championship. There was a booming total of  140 production shooters from Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

The stages where fun, some rewarded speed others precions, my kind of match. My goal was a zero  mike match, but I ended up with one Mike at stage 9, one I still cannot recall (which annoys me very much), but I left ‘the mike’ at the stage and went mike-free for the rest of the match.
I did not get my minimum of 80% alphas, I ended up with almost 77%, so I have to focus a little more at my next match.

Overall I am very happy with my results. Production lady 100 %  and my second PM. Overall 36th.

What a weekend at the INFINITY OPEN in Germany with a bunch of challenging and fun stages
The sun was high in the sky making the range hot as H*** and making it an even more challenging match.
I shot a decent match in Standard with my 9mm SVI , but I had 5 STUPID Mikes on close targets, which I am not proud of!
Otherwise I hit everything up to my best standard and ended up with a total of 83 % Alphas, taking 3rd place in Standard Lady and 67 % overall.

I will for sure be back next year – I LOVE THIS MATCH ♥

First President Medal

It was as usually a really great and fun match to shoot, and overall a very good day for the danish shooters, bringing home 7 medals and two presidents medals.
